Stepping through the ornate Edwardian Gates and Tiled Wall that grace the hotel entrance guests enter what was once the work place of the renowned Madam Clapham Dressmaker to Royalty and nobility. It was built in 1852 and occupied by her until it closed in 1962. In 1987 a wonderful renovation took place restoring the building back to its former glory. Now the hotel commands a relaxing Lounge and Bar ideal for light snacks and drinks whilst the restaurant named in honour of Madame Clapham offers a more formal setting ideal for business dinners and family occasions. All rooms are individually decorated and provide many amenities the discerning business traveller would expect some with views overlooking the beautiful Kingston Gardens a unique setting within the Hull City Centre and offering peace and tranquillity to our guests. All rooms are designed with comfort in mind complete with pillow top mattresses for a restorative nights sleep plus bedside power sockets and USB Ports a must for the business traveller.
